ОСОЗНАННЫЙ ВЫБОР : A CONSCIOUS CHOICE.  

Freelabel was born in 2017, but we have been working with organic and ethically produced clothing since the very first project we launched in Berlin, 2007.  It was very easy to see the link between quality and ecology from the beginning. Organic cotton is the cleanest cotton on the market. With clean process and ethical care.  The product proved to be amazing, unique, and interesting — and reliable.   We became dedicated to sustainability and zero-waste solutions, and in 2014 we were awarded «Green Office» by Greenpeace for our space DELONATELO, in Petrogradskaya.

SUSTAINABILITY

Freelabel is committed to Sustainability, not as a concept, but as general principle of quality. Cleaner product that contributes to a cleaner world : recycling, green energy, low carbon footprint, less waste, recycled plastics, recycled cottons.  Better manufactured, because employees are paid well, and not over-worked, stressed.  Free of chemicals, safe against the skin.  Safe for the environment, the animal kingdom.  Longevity, and the ability to withstand time - from the choice of materials, partnerships, and guarantees supported by certification and audit.

TRANS-SEASONAL 

What's in a name.  Freelabel to us means FREE LABEL – created free of superfluous branding, and letting our base product, collaborations, design and quality speak for itself.  Our collections transcend seasons. Therefore we are not limited to each fashion season, and we do not generate surplus stock.  We introduce updates to our collection as each design set sells though — with this formula we avoid dead stock and waste, and have no need for outlet stores, or seasonal sales that encourage customers to buy what they don't need.  

BASE PRODUCT 

The base of our T-shirts, sweatshirts and hoodies is organic cotton, recycled polyester, and where possible recycled organic cotton.  All are certified vegan by PETA.  This means no animals were used, harmed or abused in the making of our products.

Our partners who produce our base product are certified with the Soil Association for organic farming, GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard), and Fair Wear (for the ethical treatment of employees).  Recycled Polyesters are certified with the Global Recycled Standard – where up to 18 recycled PET bottles are used in a single garment.  

LOW CARBON EMISSIONS

Our base product achieves a 90% reduction in carbon emissions with the choice of factories in Bangladesh and India, and logistics.  Advanced technological practices in the factories allow greater efficiency, waste reduction, water filtering, wind and solar energy.

ETHICAL PRACTICES

No slave labour, no child labour, and no prison labour. Our base partners forbid the use of unethical labour practices.  The factories are audited by the Fair Wear association. 

LONGEVITY

We choose life.  All items in our collection are selected based on their ability to withstand time.  If an item is not ecological in nature, we ensure it is made from materials that can be enjoyed for years, reducing the need for replacement, or fast disposal.  

TAGS & PACKAGING

We use recycled kraft for our store bags, which are decompostable, recyclable and bio-degradable.  We use bags that fit our orders, to avoid superfluous use of paper and oversized packaging. Our hang cards are from 15% recycled materials.  And our clear tags for special editions are made from recyclable PET.

ZERO-WASTE

Sustainability correlates with zero-waste.  Our organic shopper bags are made from manufacturing by-products and are a zero-waste solution. 

ACCESSORIES & OBJECTS

In our store you can find vegan certified cosmetics, baseball caps made from 100% organic cotton, and notebooks with unique materials sourced in flea markets around the world.  This winter we proudly add a thermos collection, BPA free and from recyclable steel.
